Secondary school in Loulé hosted the meeting of the “Landscape Yesterday and Today” project

Within the scope of Erasmus+

The reception of the 2nd LTTA Erasmus+ mobility of the project Landscape Yesterday and Today took place at Escola Secundária de Loulé, in the week of February 28 to March 3.

Students and teachers from the Czech Republic, Romania, Sweden and Portugal participated in this meeting.

This project covers the study of Biology, Geography and History of the area surrounding the schools involved.

Several workshops were held on the Fauna and Flora of each of the participating countries, as well as a visit to the Loulé Secondary School, a tour of the city that included its Municipal Market and a guided tour of the Municipal Museum, the Loulé Creative Workshops , the Municipal Gallery and the Gama Lobos Palace.

There was also time for a cultural visit to the city of Faro and to Ilha Deserta, where elements of the flora were collected based on the drawing learning carried out in the Scientific Illustration workshop taught by the trainer Ana Rita Afonso, in which the students of the 10th year of the Graphic Design course participated.

On the last day, lunch and a coffee break, in the school restaurant, which was designed by the 10th, 11th and 12th year classes of the professional course in cooking and pastry, served by the 10th and 11th classes of the professional bar course with the help of of teachers in the technical area.

All the final works of this mobility, namely the presentations and scientific illustrations resulting from the activities, will now be converted into book format.

The project had the very active participation of professors Duarte Duarte, Eugénia Narciso and project coordinators Lucília Pires and Paulo Ribeiro.

Funding for this Erasmus+ project comes from the Czech National Agency.
