The PSD/Algarve and the Social Democrats of Albufeira are promoting, next Friday, the 11th, at 20:00 pm, a solidarity dinner in favor of Ukraine.
The initiative will have a space dedicated to the intervention of a member of the Ukrainian community in the Algarve, Rui Gago, a volunteer on the border with Ukraine, Cristiano Cabrita, professor of International Relations and leader of the Albufeira Social Democrats, and Cristóvão Norte, president of PSD Algarve.
“It is a political dinner, but not a partisan one, in the sense that it is open to everyone and because the cause being defended is freedom, democracy, the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the protection of refugees”, explains Cristóvão Norte .
The same official says that “the objective is to gather the means to send to Ukraine, whether goods or money, because there is a lot of help that has no guaranteed transport. The important thing is that the sum of small gestures – the mobilization of public opinion, of each one of us – can make a difference. The strength of world public opinion can pay off. Our duty is to accompany this effort, either as citizens or through a political organization».
