New infections with Covid-19 and active cases rose in the Algarve in the last week, according to the weekly situation, which has just been released by the Civil Protection Commission of the Algarve Region.
Based on data provided by the Regional Health Administration, the bulletin reveals that the Algarve region now has an accumulated total (since the beginning of the pandemic) of 142.405 cases of Covid-19, which represents an increase of 6489 infections since last Friday. fair.
As for active cases, there are now 10.870, 1011 more than a week ago.
There was also an increase in deaths in the Algarve, caused by the pandemic: there were 7 more, totaling 700.
With regard to patients with Covid-19 admitted to hospitals in the region, the situation has remained more or less stable. There are now 60 hospitalized (plus 1), of which 4 (+1) are in Intensive Care and 2 of them are ventilated (minus 1).
Over the week, there was also an increase in the number of people who recovered from the disease: there were 5471 more, bringing the total number of recovered to 130.835.
