The rehabilitation and reinforcement works of a hydraulic passage (PH), located on Regional Road 267, which connects Monchique to Marmelete, have already been completed.
The project represented an investment of around 335 thousand euros.
This hydraulic passage is located at kilometer 29,9.
«The intervention consisted of reinforcing the PH retaining wall, through the concreting of a reinforced concrete wall against the existing wall, complemented with six inclined micropiles. The existing guardrails were replaced and the infrastructure protection systems were adapted, providing them with greater capacity and resistance to vehicle collisions», explains the company Infraestruturas de Portugal, responsible for the work.
