Startup competition marks another day of Algarve Tech Sub Summit

Algarve Tech Hub Summit aims to promote the region as a global and competitive technology hub and attract entrepreneurs, digital nomads and remote workers

The fourth day of the Algarve Tech Hub Summit this Thursday, March 31st, is marked by the competition of startups “Disrupt'22” that will receive, as mentors for the participants, names such as Anas El Arras (Growin Portugal), Laura Bock Blumes (Empowered Startups) and Tim Vieira (Brave Generation).

These are joined by Gonçalo Hall (NomadX), Joana Glória (Lagos Digital Nomads), Vanda Everke (Spy Manor Productions), Dimitrios Buhalis (Hong Kong Polytechnic University), Kim Zietlow (German Digital Hub Initiative), Raphael Salapete (Ideamatch) and Manuel Dias (Microsoft).

With the aim of stimulating new ideas, from the inspiration phase to the presentation, this competition consists of lectures, round tables, mentoring sessions, in the areas of sustainability and circular economy, economy of the sea (Blue Economy), agrotech, smart destinations and digital transformation. Also includes workshops on metaverse, cryptocurrency, technology blockchain, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

Aimed at the academic community, entrepreneurs, researchers and entrepreneurs, the competition is divided between Inspiration Sessions and thematic panels, which will help to explore possibilities through the Idea Match platform.

During the afternoon, the first meeting of the Ibero-American Network of Science and Technology Parks takes place simultaneously.

At 18:00, in the Siga room, of the Associação Recreativa e Cultural de Músicos, in Faro, the Culture and Tech Talks – A phygital vision of Culture, promoted by the municipality of Faro. The conversation will be digital strategist Claudio Calveri, Miguel de Castro Neto, from Nova Cidade – Urban Analytics Lab and Nelson Luciano, from Google Cloud Portugal.

Closing the day, it's time for Networking, Tapas & Drinks, with Quintas Poéticas.
