The Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Algarve (CHUA) will mark World Kidney Day with an awareness-raising action this Thursday, March 10, starting at 9:00 am, at the Municipal Market of Faro.
The action, which will take place until 12:00, consists of the delivery of information leaflets on renal health, the application of a «Quiz» with questions about food, mental health, physical activity and social activity, as well as through the exhibition of a video with contents information on the subject.
The professionals from the CHUA Nephrology Service will also be on site, available to provide information and answer questions.
At the same time, starting in March, the publication of articles with content on various nephrology topics, written by the service's multidisciplinary team, will also begin.
The initiative is promoted and promoted by the Nephrology Service of CHUA and has the institutional support of the Regional Health Administration of the Algarve (ARS), which has partnered through the dissemination of informative content on this topic on its social networks and official channels, namely, in the multimedia kiosks of the Health Centers in the region.
Other partners are the Portuguese Society of Nephrology, Ambifaro and the municipality of Faro.
