Câmara de Lagos supports the New Discoveries Project

“Dias na Quinta” project has had a very positive response from the school population

The Lagos City Council approved, at the last meeting of its municipal executive, the cooperation protocol of the “New Discoveries Project” – Educational and Recreation Association, to follow up and consolidate the “Dias da Quinta” Project, which began in 2018.

The protocol aims at the annual acquisition of 1700 tickets worth 13.400 euros, by the municipality, so that the school population, from pre-school to secondary education, can participate in the various workshops promoted by the Novas Descobertas Project.

In the last four years, the “Dias na Quinta” Project has had a very positive response from the school population, since it deals with relevant and complementary content to the teaching-learning process, associates greater values ​​to the training of the youngest, uses playful learning methodologies -educational and its mission is to promote an “Education for Regenerative Transformation”.

O New Discoveries Project is an organization based on values ​​of inclusion and diversity, linked to the ecological, social and economic spheres. Its mission is to unite generations to care for the land, communities and the individual, through living and experiences, inspired by the values ​​of inclusion and integration, diversity and participation.

This association develops unique experiences and learning in family contexts, through the implementation of pedagogical programs, in a pedagogical farm, with activities that aim to promote the training of young people and children, through education for environmental citizenship promoting an “education for regenerative transformation” .
