Silves Library “gives music” to babies and children

in March and April

The Municipal Library of Silves will host free music sessions for children, aimed at babies and children up to 6 years old, until the end of March and in April.

In these sessions, some traditional instruments and ancestral sounds are presented, «using sequences of sounds of nature, starting with the rain stick, passing through some talking instruments, such as the Tinarra, the Khrin, the Tama, the Didgeridoo, the African Arpa the Djembé, among others, always in an educational and pedagogical way», according to the Câmara de Silves.

Each activity lasts 45 minutes and is limited to 10 children (accompanied by an adult).

On the 26th of March and 23rd of April, at 15:00, the sessions are aimed at children, from 3 to 6 years old. The activities for babies from 0 to 3 years old will be on the 9th and 30th of April, at the same time.
