The new direction of the Cultural Association of Boliqueime (ACB) took office on January 31st.
The new direction, which is led by President Ricardo Gonçalves and Vice President Álvaro Afonso, «has several names of people from the lands of Boliqueime, who seek to continue to be present in the various activities and events of the parish», highlights the ACB.
It is a way of giving «continuity» to the «sporting, cultural and socio-cultural actions» promoted by the association since its foundation in 2000.
In the other governing bodies, the general meeting is chaired by Valentim Filipe, with Núria Rey as vice-chairman, while the supervisory board has Carlos Coelho as chairman.
This year, the highlights of the calendar are the presence of the Cultural Association at the BFF streetfood festival, the Summer Parties, the BoliCome gastronomic tour and the usual rolling cart races.
Sporting activities continue with futsal and petanque, the latter being highlighted at national level by athletes from Boliqueime.
With the resumption of group activities in the pandemic period, yoga and zumba classes return, as well as reiki training and practice.
