Bio carob syrup, produced by the Algarve company Carob World, won the “Most Innovative Halal Product” award (most innovative product with Halal certification), at the Gulfood fair, in Dubai, which is running until this Thursday, 17 of February.
This syrup is the latest product launched by the start-up, located in Faro, which develops, produces and markets innovative carob-based food products, such as flour, tablets and spreads.
As the company explains, “locust bean syrup is a healthy and truly versatile 100% natural sweetener. It does not contain gluten, stimulants or preservatives and is rich in antioxidants and essential nutrients such as iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium”.
Carob World says that this «is the ideal product to use in the confection of sweets and cakes, to accompany a cheese board, salad dressing, topping for ice cream and much more».
Hundreds of professionals involved in B2B trade participate in this fair in Dubai, as well as the general public who can visit the stand and have the opportunity to learn more about innovative carob bean products.
