Theater “The Epic of Gilgamesh” will have translation into Portuguese Sign Language

The piece is co-produced by ARTIS XXI and the Repeated Question

The puppet theater “The Epic of Gilgamesh”, which is scheduled to be shown this Sunday, February 20, at 16:00 pm, in the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium, will be translated into Portuguese Sign Language. 

The other exhibition, on the 19th, at 16:00, at the Centro Cultural de Lagos, will not have Portuguese Sign Language.

This show recounts the misadventures of Gilgamesh, a hero “who could defeat any enemy in battle and even raise mountains”, reads the synopsis.

The original idea and the artist direction are by Ana Falé, the musical direction by Elsa Santos Mathei, with the puppeteer Jorge Soares.

As for the narration, it will be by Ana Falé and music by Ensemble Armilar.

The Epic of Gilgamesh also counts with the participation in the development of musical pieces by the Algarve composer João Pacheco.

The piece is co-produced by ARTIS XXI and Questão Repetida.

Tickets cost 6 euros and can be purchased here. Under 18s have free entry.
