The Municipality of Silves, represented by President Rosa Palma, handed over, this Tuesday, February 9, portable computers to the Fire Brigade of Silves and São Bartolomeu de Messines.
This support «seeks to provide the command structures of the two corporations with modern equipment that allows for a more effective use in their daily lives and that constitutes a strong increase in the response at the command post headquarters and in direct support to rescue operations», says the Silves municipality.
The equipment will be completed “with critical information to support the decision, such as cartography, demographic information and sensitive points”.
The material was delivered during a working meeting between the local Civil Protection authority, the Civil Protection and Forestry service of the municipality of Silves and the command of the Fire Brigades of Silves and São Bartolomeu de Messines.
This is a “strategy of increasing interconnection and joint work in favor of the protection and assistance of the populations of the municipality of Silves”, concludes the municipality.
