A man was stabbed to death on the public road, this Wednesday, in Quarteira, Algarve. A disagreement may have been at the origin of the murder. The aggressor fled.

Silves Rocha, a 24-year-old futsal player, was hit with several stab wounds to the neck and chest. He was still assisted, but could not resist the injuries and died at the scene.

According to the accounts of several witnesses, Silves had a disagreement with a man, with whom he was talking. After suffering the first blows, he still tried to run away, but was chased by the attacker and hit again. He ended up falling on the sidewalk of Avenida Dr. Francisco Sá Carneiro, in the center of Quarteira. Some people tried to help him until help arrived.
