Silves will host the Chamber Music Cycle “Surpresas e Travessuras”, by the Orquestra Clássica do Sul (OCS), on the 26th of February, at 19:00, in the Igreja Matriz de Alcantarilha.

The concert will feature works by R. Strauss, L. Spohr and PDQ Bach.

«Between naughty and daring characters, passing through the fun recreation of famous composers», this is «a concert that takes us back to the revelry and fantasy of carnival masks with notes of irreverence, provocation and humour», emphasizes the Câmara de Silves.

The Chamber Music Ensemble of the Orquestra Clássica do Sul comprises Luís Miguel Garcia (flute), David Fresquet (oboe), Rui Travasso (clarinet), Joaquim Moita (bassoon), Todd Sheldrick (horn), Emil Chitakov (violin) , Ângela Silva (viola), Mikhail Shumov (cello) and Luzia Vieira (double bass).

Admission is free, but subject to room limitation, taking into account the guidelines of the Directorate-General for Health.
