Faro looking for “in house” artists to do residencies in Belgium and Germany

As part of the ECRN project – European Creative Rooftop Network

Professional or amateur artists who live and work in the municipality of Faro and who are interested in participating in an artist residency in the cities of Antwerp (Belgium) and Chemnitz (Germany) can participate in the open call launched by the Chamber of Faro to choose two breeders.

The initiative is carried out within the scope of the ECRN - European Creative Rooftop Network project and "intends to develop artistic and creative works in the fields of visual arts and performing arts, focused on the theme of sustainability, in an urban context, linked to the involvement of local communities », according to the Chamber of Faro.

The selected artists from Faro «they will have the opportunity to discover the roofs of Antwerp and Chemnitz and to expand their work internationally».

Applications can be made until March 16 at the ECRN project website where more information is also available.

The two selected artists will be announced on April 5th.

The City Council of Faro is a leading partner of the European project ECRN – European Creative Rooftop Network, co-financed by the European Union’s Creative Europe Programme, which has Amsterdam, Antwerp, Barcelona, ​​Belfast, Chemnitz, Gothenburg, Nicosia and Rotterdam as partner cities of this consortium.
