Farense triumphs at home thanks to hero who left the bench

Farense beat Vilafranquense, 1-0, in a match for the 24th round of the II Liga, played this Sunday, February 27, at Estádio de São Luís.

The scorer of the goal was Mihali Mayambela, who had entered the field in the 14th minute, after the departure of Pedro Albino through injury. At 48′, the 25-year-old South African striker made his debut for the Algarve and secured the three points in the victory.

The game was also marked by the solidarity of the Farense supporters, who placed, before the start of the game, a Ukrainian flag on the stands.

With this triumph, the team from the Algarve capital rises to 13th place, with 27 points, 2 less than their opponents today, Vilafranquense.
