Farense drew 1-1 against Académico de Viseu, in the 22nd round of the II Football League, played this Sunday, February 13, at Estádio de São Luís, in Faro. The game was marked by the expulsion of Cristian Ponde.

The match had barely started and, at 3 minutes, Paná, from Académico de Viseu, opened the scoring, in a confused move in the Farense area.

With a lot of support in the stands, the Algarve team managed to tie the game, with a cross shot by Cristian Ponde.

At 36′, one of the moments of the match appeared. Cristian Ponde was sent off, in a move in which the Algarve striker touched the opponent's goalkeeper.

Gril ended up having to be transported on a stretcher, being replaced by Rafa Alves.

In added time, before going to halftime, Farense had a good chance. Bandarra hit a free-kick that sent danger to Académico de Viseu's goal.

With one less on the field, the Algarve had almost the entire second half to defend.

In the 70th minute, Daniel Nussbaumer jumped the ball after a corner and tried a back-heel, but Defendi was attentive and saved.

The game ended in a draw. With this result, Farense has 21 points and remains in 15th place, one position above the waterline.
