Farense lost 4-1 against Feirense, in the 20th round of the II Football League, played this Tuesday, February 8, in Santa Maria da Feira. Fábio Espinho was the man of the match, with two goals scored.

The first goal of the match came in the 18th minute.

Fábio Espinho, one of Feirense's most experienced players, hit a free-kick on the right, the ball deflected into the wall and tricked Ricardo Velho.

Farense equalized in the first big chance they had. At 36′, Bruno Paz, who has been improving in recent games, worked on the right, crossed and Cristian Ponde, released in the area, leaned in for the goal.

The second half started in the worst way for the Algarve. In a dubious move, the referee gave Feirense a penalty for lack of Gut. Called to convert, Fábio Espinho did not fail (47′).

Just three minutes later, the Santa Maria da Feira team scored again, in a shot by Teles that still deflected Bruno Paz. 3-1 and a difficult task for Farense.

The Algarve still tried to reduce, but it was even Feirense who scored again in the discount period, through André Rodrigues.

With this defeat, Farense adds the same 20 points and is in 15th place, one position above the waterline.
