The Algarve Wine Commission (CVA) will carry out an in-person training on Algarve Wines, in partnership with the Eviva Wine School Algarve, aimed at the professional restaurant sector, on March 7, at Quinta do Canhoto, in Albufeira.
The action will take place in the afternoon and will include a visit to Quinta do Canhoto, followed by a theoretical approach to Algarve Wines, with an introduction to the Algarve Wine Region, accompanied by a tasting of seven wines from different grape varieties from different producers, with cheese and sausage tasting. The trainees will also have access to a certificate of participation.
According to CVA, this action is part of a campaign to promote Algarve Wines aimed at the HORECA channel, whose visible image is the distinction of partner establishments with a seal that recognizes them as official promoters of Algarve Wines.
The seal reflects the image of the Vinhos do Algarve brand, in a modern style, attractive and illustrative of the region, which conveys to its customers and consumers a relationship of proximity and trust, with a view to increasing the perception of value and differentiation of wines with local origin.
This campaign also intends to show the market the union and cohesion of the different economic agents in the Region, highlighting, at the same time, the Wine Producers and the Restaurant, for the certification of the genuineness and quality of their products.
The Algarve Wine Commission has been accredited since 2012 for the certification of wine products with Denomination of Origin Lagos, Portimão, Lagoa and Tavira and Geographical Indication Algarve.
Over the last few years, it has registered a very positive evolution in terms of the increase in the number of producers, vineyard area, production and quality of wines.
