Covid-19: Negative test is no longer mandatory at borders for those who have a certificate

Passengers who enter Portugal with a covid-19 digital certificate will no longer be required to present a negative test at airports, it was today, 3 February, approved by the Government.

The Council of Ministers announced today, in a statement, that the requirement, for those who enter Portugal, “to present proof of carrying out a test with a negative result for those who present a digital certificate of covid-19 from the EU in any of its modalities or other proof of vaccination that has been recognised'.

Since December 1, 2021, all passengers arriving in Portugal by air were required to present a negative test or certificate of vaccination or recovery upon disembarkation.
