Covid-19: Algarve has 1694 new cases, hospitalizations, incidence and R(t) fall in the country

According to the DGS bulletin that has just been released

The Algarve has 1.694 more cases of Covid-19, according to the bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health this Friday, February 11th, which also reports the drop in the number of hospitalized patients, as well as the decrease in the incidence and R (t).

Nationally, there are today 24.271 new cases of Covid-19, a lower number compared to yesterday (27.651).

In relation to data from last Friday, 4 February, there was also a sharp decrease in new cases, as 47.199 new infections had been recorded on that day.

Looking at today's report, the North has, once again, most of the new infected (+7.835), followed very closely by Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (+7.103).

This is followed by the Center (+4.865), Algarve (1.694), Alentejo (+1.274), Azores (+1.021) and Madeira (+479).

In terms of deaths, our country today recorded 41 more, spread across Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (14), North (13), Center (11), Madeira (2) and Azores (1).

Compared to yesterday's numbers, there are now 34 fewer patients in the ward (total of 2.332) and nine fewer in intensive care (total of 159).

If we compare with the data from a week ago, we can see that there are fewer hospitalizations in the ward (on February 4th, there were 2.445) and in the ICU, the most serious cases, were more (174).

Returning to today's bulletin, the number of recoveries was 40.691 (for a total of 2.428.926).

Active cases have decreased (-16.461) and are now a total of 600.324.

The risk matrix was updated today and brings good news, with the incidence and R(t) decreasing.

OR(t), the transmissibility index, dropped to 0,88, both at the national level and taking into account only Mainland Portugal.

The incidence is situated at 6099,6 cases of infection per 100 thousand inhabitants, nationally, and at 6133,0 cases, excluding the islands.
