Covid-19: Algarve records one more death and 1898 new cases. Active cases drop in the country

There is one more death by Covid-19 and 1898 cases of the disease in the Algarve, on a day when active cases dropped across the country, according to the bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health this Saturday, February 5th, which has just been published. disclosed.

Nationally, there were 41.511 new cases, a decrease compared to yesterday and, especially, compared to last Saturday, when almost 60 new infections were reported in Portugal.

By region, the North has, once again, the highest number of newly infected (+15.894), followed by Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (+11.856), Center (+8265), Algarve (+1898), Alentejo (+ 1806), Azores (+1097) and Madeira (+605).

 

 

In this Saturday's bulletin, the decrease in active cases stands out, which are now 637.821 (-4972) and the drop in hospitalizations, compared to yesterday.

In hospitals, there are now 36 fewer people hospitalized with Covid-19 (2409 in total). In intensive care, there are now 169 patients (-5). In both cases, the values ​​are now higher than a week ago.

Today's bulletin reports the occurrence of 44 deaths. There were fatalities in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (17), in the North (13), in the Center (9), in the Azores (2), in the Alentejo (2) and in the Algarve (2).

Those recovered were 46.439.

 

 

As far as the risk matrix is ​​concerned, the values ​​from Friday's update continue to apply.
