With “Mimos d'Avós” the babies of Silves are welcomed

After starting in 2020, the “Mimos d'Avós” project continues to offer all babies born in the municipality of Silves a “symbolic trousseau”. 

This is a welcome gift for the child and the whole family.

The project launched by the Câmara de Silves, in partnership with the Education Centers, aims to «bring together two different generations, in this desire that unites us all: to believe that a new life is a promise of a better and happier future», says the President Rosa Palma.

All newborns in the county can receive Mimos D'Avós”. For this purpose, parents must present the civil registration card/document to the Education Sector of the Municipality of Silves, located at Rua João de Deus, n.º 19 (next to the Parish Council of Silves).
