The first competition of the Portuguese Track Cup, held this Saturday at the National Velodrome, in Sangalhos, Anadia, had two young people standing out in the categories with the most participants. Junior Marta Carvalho, from the Algarve team ExtremoSul/Hotel Alísios/Cenmais, and cadet Paulo Fernandes (Landeiro/KTM/Matias & Araújo/Frulact) prevailed in two disciplines each.

The journey, which brought together cyclists from juniors to masters, in addition to paracyclists, had the most competitive categories in juniors and male cadets.

Marta Carvalho (Extremosul/Hotel Alísios/Cenmais) won both female junior races. She won the scratch against teammate Margarida Teodósio and Laura Simão (5Quinas / Albufeira Municipality).

The women's points race was well balanced. Marta Carvalho won, with 28 points, just three more than those added by Laura Simão. Margarida Teodósio was third, with 17.

In the two junior events, there were two different winners. João Martins (Póvoa Cycling Academy/CDC Navais) prevailed in the points race, with 34, eleven more than Rúben Rodrigues (Bairrada) and twenty more than Miguel Batista, also from the Bairrada team.

Francisco Silvestre (ACD Milharado/DriveonHolidays/Mafra) was the best junior in scratch, beating Miguel Batista (Bairrada) and Gabriel Baptista (Landeiro/KTM/Matias & Araújo/Frulact).

In cadets, the winner of both races was the same, Paulo Fernandes (Landeiro/KTM/Matias & Araújo/Frulact). He won the points race with 19, followed by José Moreira (Silva & Vinha / ADRAP / Sentir Penafiel), with 10, and Francisco Alves (Cantanhede Cycling / 2W Engenharia).

Paulo Fernandes was the only repeater on the scratch podium, occupying the top step, followed by David Ferreira (Póvoa Cycling Academy/CDC Navais) and Rodrigo Rodrigues (Landeiro/KTM/Matias & Araújo/Frulact).
