Cantaloupe Café welcomes flamenco jazz group from Seville

Philip Adie Trio will perform today at 14:30 pm

The Philip Adie Trio, composed by Philip Adie on guitar, Luis Salto on double bass and Nacho Megina on drums and percussion, will give a show, today, February 13, at 14:30 pm, at Cantaloupe Café, in Mercados de Olhão.

Philip Adie Trio is a Flamenco Jazz group from Seville that plays original music, making an «electric variation of flamenco, integrating jazz and a little improvisation in their repertoire», says Cantaloupe Café.

In 2021 they were chosen by Paco Ortega as semi-finalists in the “III Certamen Flamenco y Mestizos Cuidad” in Úbeda and, in January of the same year, the theme “Stone Free Guajiro” was featured in the 'Track of the Day' section of the online magazine “All About Jazz”.

After having been forced to cancel 26 concerts in 2020, due to the pandemic, “they have been busy preparing new songs for their second album”, concludes Cantaloupe Café.

The capacity is reduced and will comply with the valid norms of the General Directorate of Health.
