Food will be the common denominator of the workshops for children that will take place on Saturdays in February, at the Pedagogical Farm in Portimão.
The only exception will be the 5th of February. This Saturday, there will be the usual activity “The Library goes to Thursday”, enabling
children from 6 years old to listen to a story being read, in a special participation by the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Municipal Library.
On the following Saturday morning, the 12th, future chefs from the Portimão School of Hospitality and Tourism will teach how to cook a very special meal during the workshop “Cooking with the Chefs”, aimed at children from 6 years old.
On the 19th of February, there will be the workshop “Right Plate – Healthy and Economical Food”, in which children from 6 years old “will learn in a fun way to prepare tasty, healthy and economical meals, inspired by the principles of Mediterranean food”. », says the Portimão Chamber.
Finally, on the 26th of February, the breakfast of the farm's animals will dominate all the attention, and this workshop is open to children with no minimum age, who have the opportunity to get to know the horses, donkeys, ducks, sheep, the chickens, the pigs and the other residents of this educational and recreational space, where rural life in the middle of the city is promoted.
