ABC and ACASO join efforts to promote healthy and active aging in Olhão

Entities signed a collaboration protocol

The Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC) and the Associação Cultural e de Apoio Social de Olhão (ACASO) will work together to «defend, identify and implement healthy and active aging measures for a more vulnerable population», under a protocol that signed today, the 1st of February, in Olhão.

The agreement, which has a duration of 5 years, provides that ABC will make “its academic know-how available to the activities that ACASO develops with vulnerable people. The creation of differentiated multidisciplinary health teams and support for quality certification are some examples of responses to be adopted, with a view to promoting active and healthy ageing», according to the academic centre.

"With this partnership, it is intended to add material and human resources, in order to implement innovative projects and solutions that allow continuous improvement in the provision of care to the population", added the ABC.
