The Mobile Health Unit will start operating every Thursday, from 10 am to 00 pm, as a free testing center for Covid-13, at Praça 00º de Maio, in Castro Marim.
However, the first testing action will be carried out tomorrow, at the Municipal Pavilion of Castro Marim, at the same time in the morning. Starting next week, the Mobile Health Unit will start operating.
Testing is free and open to the entire population, but appointment is mandatory and must be done through the ABC website here
The initiative is the result of the collaboration of the Municipality of Castro Marim with the Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC), which is carrying out free rapid tests against Covid-19 under the National Health Service's antigen test co-payment scheme. (from 6 years of age) you can perform up to four tests per month.
With this reinforcement of testing capacity, the Municipality of Castro Marim says that “it hopes to be able to control the evolution of the pandemic in the municipality, which has consecutively reached worrying numbers”.
