The Socialist Party was the most voted in the municipality of Monchique, having obtained 48,85% of the voters' votes, followed by the PSD, with 25,47%.
In third place, but at a great distance and almost on par with the CDU (which obtained 5,38%), comes CHEGA, with 5,85%.
In the following positions were Left Bloc (4,13%), Liberal Initiative (2.16%) and CDS, with only 1,43%.
In Monchique, the abstention rate was 38,57%.
