Liberal Initiative dedicated a day to social action with meetings and visits

Cláudia Vasconcelos, head of the list, led the delegation

The candidates of the Liberal Initiative for the Algarve, in the Legislative Elections, dedicated this Tuesday, January 12, to the theme of social action.

Cláudia Vasconcelos, head of the list, led the delegation that began with a meeting with the Regional Union of Private Institutions of Social Solidarity in the Algarve.

At that meeting, the «importance» of Private Social Solidarity Institutions «in the various areas of intervention», as well as the «biggest difficulties and challenges» they face, was discussed.

The candidates also paid a visit to the space of the Movement for Support to the Problem of AIDS and met, by videoconference, with the In Loco Association.

For Cláudia Vasconcelos, «the day was extremely productive and allowed to know, in detail, the difficulties and challenges, but also the opportunities of the agents of social action and local development in the Algarve».

«The day made it possible to realize that, among many other needs, the problem of excessive bureaucratization is a transversal problem, as it affects and limits the action of both agents in the social sector and agents in the public and private sectors. It is urgent to uncomplicate Portugal and the Algarve», he concludes.
