PS deputies will work “as of tomorrow” to fulfill promises

Jamila Madeira assures

Working «very committed» to fulfill the promises made in relation to the Algarve, from the outset in the health sector, but also in terms of water, housing and the diversification of the economic base, will be the priority of the five deputies elected today by the PS in the Algarve. , assured the Sul Informação Jamila Madeira, head of the list of socialists for the constituency of the district of Faro.

«After six years of socialist governance, it is with particular pleasure and pride that I thank the Algarve for this result, with the confirmation of support for the PS and the reinforcement in the number of votes in a very expressive way, although it has not been reflected in terms of mandates", said the re-elected deputy.

«It was an expression of immense confidence in relation to the commitments we made with the Algarve. These commitments are for us very important parts of the way we will assume the mandate and our responsibility», he assured

And the «first cause» of the Algarve socialist deputies is health, «an area in which we have the notion that the Algarve wants very rapid advances. We will be working very hard on that».

Other priorities are «water, a particularly sensitive issue for the Algarve, housing, where we will put all our energy into implementing the plans that are already designed, and that which is a key element for our success as a region, in the field of structured economic development, which is the diversification of our economic base'.

«These are elements that we want to see, quickly, germinate on the ground. This trust and support will make all the difference to keep moving forward”, he said.

One of the promises made in the campaign by the socialist candidates was the advance of the Central Hospital of the Algarve, which Jamila Madeira did not let fall.

«During the campaign I had the opportunity to explain that, as a Socialist Party, we chose to invest all our energy in a solution that would allow us to put a hospital at the service of the Algarve as quickly as possible», he added.

In this way, and after «verifying the legal, financial and health premises, among many others, of the tender that was launched in 2008, we will be able to move forward very quickly».

This is, says Jamila Madeira, a «bureaucratic process, which has many nodes and is administratively complex», in which the PS is investing «all its efforts. We believe that it is the one that brings us closer to having a Central Hospital of the Algarve at the service of the Algarve and the Algarve».

“Our purpose is to have quality healthcare in the region. That's what we're committed to and that's what we'll continue to work on as of tomorrow", concluded the socialist.
