CDU list head met with Fagar workers

Catarina Marques has already been a candidate for the Chamber of Faro also by CDU

Catarina Marques, head of the CDU list for the Algarve in this month's Legislatures, was, last Wednesday, December 29, in a pre-campaign action with workers from the municipal company Fagar.

According to the CDU, the candidate made known “the proposals and initiatives of the CDU” in the “defence of the rights and aspirations” of these workers.

«Performing fundamental functions to ensure urban hygiene in the municipality of Faro, these workers aspire to increase their wages – most receive the national minimum wage – and demand a reduction in their working hours to 35 hours, as already exists for workers in the CM de Faro», says the left coalition.

Workers also "demand payment in full, taking into account the hardship of the tasks they perform, the so-called unhealthy, difficult and risky supplement", he concludes.
