Bloco de Esquerda (BE) has been looking and says that it found, this Thursday, January 27, “hidden in the middle of the bush”, the first stone of the “desired” Central Hospital, near the Algarve Stadium.
In a statement, the BE says that “one of the central aspects of the SNS in the Algarve is the construction of the desired Central Hospital, the first stone of which was laid by the Socrates government in 1 with the completion of the Hospital scheduled for 2008”.
“It's been 14 years since its launch and nothing has progressed. We know who those responsible are – the PS and PSD/CDS governments», accuse the blockers.
The theme of the Central Hospital has been on the agenda in the election campaign.
PS and PSD exchanged accusations yesterday and BE says that now, both parties have come to say that they have in the construction of the Central Hospital a «priority that is nothing more than propagandistic manoeuvres».
«The Left Bloc presented a Draft Resolution to the Assembly of the Republic, which was approved, proposing that the government initiate the procedures considered necessary for the construction of the Central Hospital of the Algarve. This proposal had already been included by the Bloc in the OE for 2020. What is required is that the government fulfills what was approved in Parliament», he concludes.
