Algarve wine awarded with a Gold Medal in the Crédito Agrícola competition

Edd's Grande Reserva Private Collection 2018 was the distinguished

The Algarvian wine Edd's Grande Reserva Private Collection 2018, from Concepts by Edd's II, was distinguished with a Gold Medal at the 8th Credit Agrícola Wine Contest, in the red wine category, with the awards ceremony taking place last day 26th of November, in Lisbon.

Of the 167 white, red and sparkling wines put to the test by 101 national producers from the various wine regions of the country, the jury distinguished, during the blind tastings held on November 5th and 6th, 53 wines with the Tambuladeira dos Escanções de Portugal, 3 with the Grand Gold Medal and 50 with gold medals.

In addition to the medal awarded to the Algarve, wines from the wine regions of Vinhos Verdes (two medals), Trás-os-Montes (one medal), Douro (eleven medals), Beira Interior (one medal), Dão (nine medals) were also distinguished ), Bairrada (two medals), Tejo (four medals), Lisbon (four medals), Península de Setúbal (three medals) and Alentejo (fifteen medals).

The initiative aims to "support the wine sector and the development of local economies, especially cooperatives and producers, promoting and putting the quality of national wines to the test," says Crédito Agrícola.
