Rosa Palma, Mayor of Silves, is the representative of the CDU's candidacy in the Algarve to the Legislative Elections on 30 January.
In addition to the formal functions that she will assume as the candidacy's agent, Rosa Palma will also participate in several actions of the pre-campaign and electoral campaign in the Algarve, which will run until the end of January. The CDU list in the Algarve is headed by Catarina Marques.
In a statement, the PCP's Directorate of the Algarve Regional Organization (DORAL) reaffirms that “in elections where what is at stake is the election of 230 deputies to the Assembly of the Republic, 9 by the electoral constituency of Faro, the CDU reaffirms the objective of electing a deputy for the Algarve».
Rosa Palma is 49 years old, was born in France, has a Masters in Biology and Geology from the University of Algarve, and has been a professor at the School Board of the Silves School Grouping since 2001.
Since 2010, she has been a member of the Faculty Assessment Team and Coordinator of the Department of Experimental Sciences and Mathematics at EB 2,3 de Silves and Coordinator of the Department of Experimental Sciences and Mathematics of the Silves Grouping of Schools from 2013 onwards.
She was a CDU councilor between 2010 and 2013 and has been, since 2013, president of the Silves City Council, elected by the CDU. It's independent.
