Louletano is the football club in the Algarve that was created by the defendant. on suspicion of having helped with the legal immigration of young players and forged documents, in the scope of “Operation Palanca”, found the Sul Informação.

The Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF) issued a statement this Monday, December 20, which reports on this operation, in which a sports leader has also been appointed.

Although the document does not reveal which emblem it is, the Sul Informação you know this is Louletano.

In recent years, this Algarve team has had a partnership – which has already ended – with the Angola Football Academy (hence also the name of the operation).

This connection meant that there were several players from this country in Louletano's ranks, mainly in the B team, but also in the main one: Lussivica, Mucuia or Yuri André are just some of the examples.

According to the SEF, during the investigation, "several irregular entries and stays of young football players from Southern Africa and South America were detected."

The Foreigners and Borders Service detected "inadequate visas for the purpose of amateur sports" - Louletano's B team competes in the District Championship - "and simulated invitation letters, with information on the objectives of the intended stay other than the actual purposes of staying in Portugal".

In fulfilling the search warrant, the SEF added that it had seized many documents – “invitation letters, registrations in official sports competitions, fraudulent legalization requests and presumably false employment contracts” - as well as “documentation proving large international financial transfers”.

Contacted by Sul Informação, António do Adro, president of Louletano, said he was unaware of the existence of defendants in this operation, explaining that the SEF "has been several times" at the club because it has "foreign players".

"Everything they ask of us, we give and we have nothing wrong," he concluded.

The investigation of this case continues under the coordination of DIAP, of the Public Ministry of Loulé.
