Isilda Gomes is the new president of the PS National Association of Mayors

Edil de Portimão replaces Rui Santos, mayor of Vila Real, who has presided since 2016

Isilda Gomes, mayor of Portimão, is the new president of the National Association of Mayors of the Socialist Party (ANA-PS), replacing Rui Santos, mayor of Vila Real, who has led since 2016. 

The choice of new governing bodies took place this Saturday, during the ANA-PS electoral assembly, with the election of the only list presented.

The ANA-PS board also has another mayor from the Algarve, António Pina, mayor of Olhão, as well as two mayors from Baixo Alentejo, Hélder Guerreiro (Odemira) and Marcelo Guerreiro (Ourique). The remaining two elements are the mayors Pedro Ribeiro (Almeirim) and Armando Jacinto (Idanha-a-Nova).

Also on this list are: Rute Lima (Parish Council of Olivais), Catarina Marcelino (President of the Municipal Assembly of Montijo), Nelson Felgueiras (Alderman in Guimarães), Sandra Marcelino (President of the Municipal Assembly of Vila Franca de Xira) and João Manuel Pinto (Board of the Parish of Chaves).

For the General Assembly of Socialist Mayors, Sónia Sanfona, mayor of the Alpiarça Chamber was elected, while Nuno Gaudêncio, president of the Parish Council of Odivelas, was chosen for the Supervisory Board.
