The traditional parade of Pais Natal bikers, musical performances and the Ambi Christmas Marketfaro. This weekend, December 18th and 19th, there is a lot to see and hear in the Algarve's capital.
Ambi's Christmas Marketfaro returns this Friday to enter the scene, at Jardim Manuel Bívar, for the third and final weekend of programming.
So, on Saturday, at 11:30 am, the Songbook of the Folklore Group of Faro.
In the afternoon, the Mercadinho will be the stage for the arrival of the Pais Natal biker parade. This is an offer from the Moto Clube de Faro to the city, inviting the population to go and see the passage of the colorful parade, with a few hundred motorcycles, in the streets or in the windows of the houses.
Arrival is scheduled for 16:30 pm, between the recreational dock and the bandstand, in downtown Faro.
In parallel, during the afternoon, the activities organized by the candidacy of Faro the European Capital of Culture 2027, namely the innovative “Buftada” project, which puts artists from very different generations, styles and areas face to face.
In this edition, the Farense rapper Dyabetik (finalist of Red Bull FrancaMente, the biggest MC competition in Portugal) will be with representatives of the Bordeirense Charolas Committee to improvise rhyme about what it means to be Farense.
On Sunday, the 19th, we say goodbye with another special moment, this time by the Coral Ossónoba, who will once again line up the Pequenos Cantores d'Ossónoba in the center of the Mercadinho, under the direction of conductor Verónika Rosová. This is a very special choir that includes children aged between 6 and 12 years old and that, this time, they will interpret the best known Christmas melodies.
The food area and the traveling area (carousels and children's entertainment) are open daily from 10:00 am to 21:00 pm, in parallel with the craft area. The institutional stands carry out their activity at the same time, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Institutions participating in Ambi's Christmas Marketfaro are the Association of Parents and Friends of Mentally Diminished Children of Faro, to Pravi, to Faro 2027 – Candidate City for European Capital of Culture, Dance, Culture and Art Association – Urban Xpression, Folklore Group of Faro, the Philharmonic Association of Faro and the Coral Ossónoba.
The initiative has the support of the City Council of Faro, Fagar and Moto Clube de Faro.
