Train derails near Quinta de Marim and cuts through the Algarve Line

There were no injuries

A train that connected Vila Real de Santo António and Faro derailed this afternoon, in the Quinta de Marim area, in the municipality of Olhão, but did not cause any injuries. The Algarve Line is still cut.

Source of the District Relief Operations Command told the Sul Informação, that "the derailment did not cause any injuries", nor was it necessary to "provide assistance to the passengers".

According to the same source, the Algarve Line remains cut.

Correio da Manhã added that "about 30 people were following inside the train".

For the occurrence, 18 workers were mobilized, supported by 8 vehicles.
