The University of Algarve resumed the “UAlg Team” initiative in a face-to-face format, continuing to strengthen the relationship between higher education and primary and secondary education with a series of lectures and other actions, free and informal, taking into account the needs of students .

The 2021/2022 edition has a total of 120 lectures, spread over 19 scientific areas, of which 46 are part of this year's catalog for the first time.

Conducted mainly by UAlg professors, the lectures “may be integrated into the programs of disciplines and activities planned by the schools, with the themes being defined according to the age group and the level of training of the recipients”, explains the university.

Lectures may take place at Schools or at the University, as long as all hygiene and safety conditions are ensured. However, there will still be the option of conducting lectures online.

The “UAlg Team” is divided into three categories, namely “Decide for you: choose UAlg”, “The University goes to School” and “The School comes to UAlg”.

“Decide for yourself: choose UAlg” consists of clarification sessions on UAlg's training offer. In this category, this school year, there is a new lecture entitled “I am a student of a professional course and I'm going to university!”, aimed at students who attend professional courses.

In the “University goes to school” category, activities and lectures are provided by a professor from UAlg, either online or in person.

“The School comes to UAlg” translates into a set of actions that take place on the University's premises.

In addition to the offer presented, there is also the possibility of organizing other initiatives, such as visits or specific activities according to the needs of each group or class.

For more information or to register you can access the “UAlg Team” website.
