Algar workers go on strike for two days

There are concentrations of workers scheduled for the two days

Workers at Algar – Valorização e Treatment of Solid Waste will go on strike on the 29th and 30th of November, after having analyzed the proposal to update salaries presented by the company.

The Union of Unions of the Algarve says that this proposal "does not cover all workers and it lacks concrete and objective responses to increase wages for all workers, to increase the meal subsidy, to the creation of a risk subsidy" and "to reinstatement of the values of overtime work practiced in 2012».

Therefore, the workers "decided to keep the strike scheduled" for these two days, also marking concentrations, from 7:00 am, at the entrances of the transfer station. Faro-Loulé and the Barlavento landfill (Portimão).
