“Full Figs and Stars”. The sweets of the time were the motto for the first workshop “Sabores & Saberes de Odeleite” which took place this Sunday, November 7th, in this town in the municipality of Castro Marim.
This is an initiative of the Parish Council of Odeleite in collaboration with the Social Association of the Parish of Odeleite, which aims to preserve the intangible heritage of this territory.
The next workshop is already scheduled for December 5th with the theme “Christmas Sweets”. At the same time, this weekend, “Mercadinho na Aldeia” made «the delights of dozens of visitors, with a great variety of regional sweets, jams and artisan goat cheese, as well as vegetables and handicrafts».
In the afternoon, the Parish Council of Odeleite also promoted a magusto to celebrate S. Martinho, with roasted chestnuts and jeropiga.
On the 11th of November, Thursday, it is the turn of the village of Castro Marim to host a magusto in Praça 1º de Maio, at 16 pm, with an animated dance by the musician Zé Aníbal and by the performance of the Ethnographic Group Amendoeiras em Flor, at 00:20.
