The first edition of the Regional Rally Champions Cup – Claudino Romeiro will be held on the 4th and 5th of December, by the Portuguese Federation of Automobile and Karting and Clube Automóvel do Algarve, taking place in the asphalt qualifying of Rallye Casinos do Algarve.
The race will bring together the best classifieds in the seven groups common to the Portuguese regional rally championships (North, Centre, South, Azores and Madeira).
Participants "will be able to finish the season as champion of the Portuguese regional champions, as well as in the respective categories".
The race will also close the accounts of the Portuguese GT Rally Championships, Classics and the South Rally Championship.
On the first day, the test will make a qualifying stage in the Porches area, open to all competitors, and in the afternoon they will do the Portimão qualifying twice, ending with a super night special in the center of Lagos.
On the second day, the Monchique mountains take center stage with two passages through the Chilrão and Monchique qualifiers, closing the competitive part with the super-special drawn up next to the Poeta António Aleixo Secondary School in Portimão.
The competitors will then depart in escorted procession to the final podium, at the Hotel Algarve Casino in Praia da Rocha, Portimão.
Ricardo Teodósio and José Teixeira, the recently crowned two-time national rally champions, open the way, giving fans in their region the opportunity to celebrate the most recent achievement of this Algarve duo.
The race can be followed through the social networks of the Clube Automóvel do Algarve, as well as on the online radio that will be created to accompany the race.
The event counts on the support of Solverde – Casinos and Hotels, from the municipalities of Lagoa, Lagos, Monchique and Portimão and also from Medronhito do Caldeirão.
