The first phase of the paving work on the avenue known as V6, in Portimão, will start at the beginning of next week, in what will involve an investment of more than 350 thousand euros.
According to the Municipality of Portimão, the intervention in the officially called S. Lourenço da Barrosa Avenue, “will allow the repair and paving of the V6 between the Três Castelos and Hospital de S. Camilo roundabouts, with the work taking place in a north/south direction, always with the provision of a circulation corridor to allow the flow of traffic'.
While the work is in progress, the vehicle circulation speed limit will be 30 km/h.
The Municipality of Portimão recommends that drivers avoid using this artery and that they "choose alternative routes whenever possible".
