The play “Where do mirrors go when they die?” will tour the country until the end of the year, with presentations already scheduled at the Casa do Coreto, in Lisbon, on November 19, at the Cultural Association for Economic and Social Development of Brejão, on the 27th, and a rerun at the Lagos Cultural Center on the 10th and 11th of December.

The show was staged by Silménia Magalhães and features interpretations by Maria Rojas, Rosário Magalhães and Teresa Boniné, bringing together "four women from different walks of life but whose paths crossed in Lagos", begins by saying Teatro Experimental.

Lacobrigense Silménia Magalhães adapted Arnold Wesker's book and challenged her friends to interpret the monologues of three women at the end of their life cycle. Rosário Magalhães plays Lady Betty Lemon, Teresa Boniné plays Laura and Chilean Maria Rojas plays Sofia.

The piece portrays «the hard and sensitive reality of loneliness in old age. A reflection on how the current society, directed towards consumerism and with a growing absence of values, faces aging. It warns of the indignity and contempt that older people are subjected to, given the failure of their abilities», explains Teatro Experimental de Lagos.
