Even the installation of branches will not be lacking at the meeting of water and sanitation managers in Vilamoura

More than 700 participants are expected

Have you ever heard of the National Cargo Branch Assembly Championship? This is a proof that not only exists, but will also be one of the highlights of the National Meeting of Water and Sanitation Management Entities, the «largest event in the sector» in Portugal, which will bring together more than 700 people, starting tomorrow, on the 23rd, until Friday, November 26th, at the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura – Algarve Congress Centre.

The initiative, organized by the Portuguese Water Distribution and Drainage Association (APDA), will be attended by João Matos Fernandes, minister of the Environment, and Loïc Fauchon, president of the World Water Council.

Over four days, the topic “Difficulties in Water Management and Climate Emergency: Necessary Changes” will be debated, which, for the organization, “could not be more relevant”.

“218 communications will be presented, and the great debate and the seven round tables will be carried out by 44 experts”, according to the APDA.

On the other hand, the exhibition sector «has 82 stands spread over more than 50 companies, with more than a dozen business meetings already scheduled, which provide new opportunities for the parties involved».

The event's organizers also highlight the attribution of the APDA Awards – Golden Tubes, as well as the Pipe Contest – National Championship for Mounting Branches in Load, which are going to the tenth edition, whose winners will be known during the Dinner and Gala , which takes place on Wednesday.

«The six technical and cultural visits, which take place on Friday, the last day of the event, are also noteworthy», concluded the APDA.
