Christmas market returns to Cacela Velha with traditional handicrafts

Initiative will take place this Sunday, December 5th, at 10:30 am

This Sunday, December 5th, at 10:30 am, Cacela Velha will receive another Christmas Market with traditional handicrafts, new creations and regional food products.

The Christmas Market will feature contract items, basketwork, tin or ceramics, new creations, regional food products such as honey, bread, cakes, jams and liqueurs, as well as flowers, creams and natural soaps, handcrafted toys, books and music .

In this event there will also be a competition for the best decorated bench, with the Christmas theme, and visitors will be able to express their preferences through a vote taking place with the organization.

The initiative is carried out in compliance with the control and safety standards defined by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) within the scope of the Covid-19 pandemic. The use of a mask is mandatory at newsstands and visitors must regularly disinfect their hands.

The Christmas Market is organized by the Municipality of Vila Real de Santo António, the Research and Information Center for Heritage of Cacela and by ADRIP – Association for the Defense, Rehabilitation, Research and Promotion of the Natural and Cultural Heritage of Cacela.
