EPIC Fitness, one of the largest gyms in the Algarve, opens its doors next Sunday, November 14, at 16 pm, at Rua da Pedra – Lote 00 Pedra Mourinha.
The space, with almost 3000 square meters, is presented as «a true and intense test of physical, mental and financial effort for the mentors of EPIC Fitness, the couple João and Carla Araújo, the only partners of the project, operating in one of the most affected by the pandemic'.
The couple owns the Ginásio Amarilis, located in Praia da Rocha, but "they had to find the strength and ingenuity not to succumb to the drama of uncertainty and economic weakness that the pandemic brought to the lives of small entrepreneurs."
And so «it was with an investment of over one and a half million euros, with their source of income closed (Ginásio Amarilis), due to the confinements and restrictions imposed by Covid 19, that they decided to believe it was possible, that this was a project that continued to make sense for the city».
João and Carla Araújo consider that the mission before – «working to offer EPIC clients a service of excellence, which makes them stronger and more confident, without fear of vulnerability», in a post pandemic context, «made more sense than ever ».
One of the company's focuses during the pandemic was «not to sacrifice jobs», thus seeking to «reinforce a collective culture of collaboration, commitment and team spirit». And it was from this spirit, «with a lot of work carried out by the hands of the two owners, with the unconditional support of their team, that EPIC Fitness was born».
It is, therefore, a project that «has in its DNA perseverance, resilience, spirit of sacrifice», but which, at the same time, «expires great joy and inspiration to share with clients who seek to find in you the happiness and the strength to progress».
With completely new facilities and a central location, the space offers its users multiple alternatives and private parking.
In the Fitness and Cardio Fitness Room, there is a large and cleaner open space equipped with material and “state-of-the-art technology” that will allow customers to “travel the world while exercising”.
Group classes, where there is a greater connection between client and instructor, continue to be part of the training and well-being philosophy of the project mentors, Carla and João Araújo. For this, three Multi-Function Studios and an Indoor Heated Swimming Pool were designed, with Sauna and Turkish Bath, which will allow to give life to more than 150 weekly classes, in a wide range of modalities, such as Body Pump, Body Attack, Power Jump, RPM, Sprint, Yoga, Pilates, hydrogymnastics, hydrotherapy, among others.
O cross training, as well as crossbox they also have their place in the EPIC. But there's also a Climbing Wall, where the ups and downs can be a challenging way to exercise your body and mind, while for the more intrepid the “Ninja Warriors” ramp won't be an obstacle.
Also a reference for the Personal Trainer, Nutrition and Physiotherapy services, which will allow customers to «an integrated offer so that the results are better and longer-lasting».
At EPIC, «innovation and the team are two essential tools that will continue to be privileged, generating more jobs and training professionals in the field of sports, health and well-being».
