The Professor Joaquim Romero Magalhães Research Prize will be awarded on November 20, at 16 pm, at the Loulé Municipal Archive. Also at this time, issue 00 of the Al-'Ulyà Magazine will be presented.
Three years after its creation, in 2018, this Award, which aims to honor this illustrious Louléan and, on the other hand, encourage historical and cultural research on the county, will finally be awarded, after the pandemic period led to the postponement of this session.
The award is linked to the Al-'Ulyà Magazine, a publication of interdisciplinary scientific research and cultural dissemination, an edition of the local authority, and of which Joaquim Romero Magalhães was one of the great promoters and one of the most prestigious collaborators.
This initiative aims to increase the municipality's historical research and distinguish young researchers who, in this context, present works deserving of prominence on the valuable heritage of Loulé.
The award ceremony will be preceded by the presentation of this special issue of Al-'Ulyà Magazine (No. 23), by Professor Luís Filipe Oliveira.
