Young people from Silves will be "Together on Vacation" through reading, after the Municipal Library of this municipality has joined a project that aims to "encourage a taste for books and reading among young people aged 10 to 15".
“Together on Vacation – Christmas Edition 2021” « will be developed from the reading of a set of books selected by the National Reading Plan (PNL) 2027 (see list below), associated with the «Desafios LeR+» app, which makes available games related to the recommended books. The young participants, obtaining the maximum score, can apply and qualify for a prize», according to the Câmara de Silvbes.
The Municipal Library of Silves will make available the books chosen for this edition in its own display, in the Children's and Youth Sector.
The “Juntos de Verão” project is the result of a partnership between the National Network of Public Libraries, through the Directorate-General for Books, Archives and Libraries, and the National Reading Plan.
